Expedia.ca Introduces Expedia+, a new loyalty Program for Canadian Travellers
Everybody likes rewards, especially when it means finding savings to put towards that long overdue vacation. Expedia.ca, Canada’s leading online travel provider*, unveiled the launch of Expedia+, a new customer loyalty program available as of today. Not tied to a single hotel chain or airline, Expedia+ members will be able to earn points when booking any one of the 400 airlines or 290,000 hotels worldwide, plus on a myriad of other travel offerings. Expedia+ offers free membership at tiered levels for opportunities to both earn and redeem points.
- Earn 2 points per $1 spent on hotels, packages with a hotel, activities, and select car rentals
- Double-up on flights by earning 1 point per $5 spent and airline frequent flyer miles
- Earn 1 point per $1 spent on flight + car packages
- Earn triple the points when booking your travel on the Expedia mobile app
The program is designed to make it easier for Canadians to earn points faster on nearly all parts of their trip. Expedia.ca customers can get upgrades and amenities at more top hotels, redeem points for more parts of their trip and get the level of priority service and freedom of choice that great travellers crave.
As an Expedia+ member, travellers are also privy to the Expedia Hotel Price Guarantee that ensures extended price match up until midnight before check-in and access to member exclusive offers.
With Expedia+ elite status which includes the +silver and +gold tiers, Expedia+ elite members have access to various +VIP Access benefits that include bonus points, priority customer care, and exclusive hotel amenities.
Expedia +blue level
Enrollment into the program at the +blue level is free and immediate. Members have access to exclusive benefits such as the Hotel Price Guarantee, members only pricing and exclusive travel deals.
Expedia +silver level
Attained after booking only seven qualifying room nights or spending $5,000 annually on Expedia.ca, the Expedia+ silver level offers a wide range of benefits including: 10% bonus points on point eligible purchases, 250 extra points when booking one of more than 1,400 +VIP Access hotels and exclusive amenities at over 700 +VIP Access hotels. Amenities vary by hotel and could include a bottle of wine, free Wi-Fi or a spa treatment voucher. Finally, members at the Expedia+ silver level will receive priority service from a dedicated group of customer service agents.
Expedia +gold level
Attained after booking 15 qualifying room nights or with $10,000 annual spend. Expedia+ gold members get everything that +silver members receive and more! This includes the ability to earn 30% bonus points on top of base points, receive room upgrades, whenever available at more than 1,400 +VIP Access hotels worldwide, as well as access to a dedicated set of customer service agents
